Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using issei.ai ("the Platform"), operated by Issei Technologies ("issei", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

issei.ai is an AI-powered recruiting platform that automates scheduling, candidate evaluation, and communication workflows. The Platform uses artificial intelligence to analyze job descriptions, evaluate candidates, generate interview scorecards, and facilitate recruiter workflows.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform
• One person or organization may maintain multiple workspaces

4. Google API Integration

The Platform integrates with Google APIs to provide calendar and email functionality. By connecting your Google account, you authorize issei to read your Google Calendar availability, create calendar events, and send emails on your behalf through Gmail. You may revoke these permissions at any time through your Google Account settings or the Platform's settings page. Our use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of employment laws
• Send unsolicited communications (spam) through the Platform
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
• Use the Platform to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise Platform security

6. AI-Generated Content

The Platform uses AI to generate candidate evaluations, scorecards, and communications. You acknowledge that:

• AI outputs are recommendations and should be reviewed by a human before acting on them
• You are responsible for all hiring decisions made using the Platform
• AI-generated scorecards include source quotes for transparency and verification
• External communications (emails to candidates) require your explicit approval before sending

7. Data Ownership

• You retain ownership of all data you upload (job descriptions, resumes, transcripts)
• You grant issei a license to process your data to provide the service
• issei does not claim ownership of AI-generated outputs (scorecards, briefs)
• You may export or delete your data at any time

8. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Platform. We will provide reasonable notice for planned downtime when possible.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, issei shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to hiring decisions made based on AI-generated recommendations.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Platform will cease, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
